Our 90 year old mom is receiving great care at Ocean hills senior living in Oceanside, California. Our family is extremely grateful to have found this community. Our mom is in memory care and is kept busy with fun and mind stimulating activities every day. The chef assures healthy, appealing food is served. Our mom is always smiling and happy due to the great care. The community is very beautiful, very clean, with the feel of a new luxury hotel. Executive Director Sheryl Johnston is experienced, knowledgeable, kind, dedicated and works diligently with families to assure the highest care is provided.
We recently had the need to select an assisted living facility for our parents. Obviously this is a very important decision so we invested considerable time researching and evaluating our options. In the end we selected Ocean Hills and could not be happier with our decision. Throughout the evaluation process, the staff was extremely professional, responsive and helpful. We had a number of complex details we needed to work through given our specific situation and they were supportive and helpful each step of the way. This high level of care has continued since moving in. The staff is very attentive, supportive and great at communicating with our family. In summary, the incredible facility, supportive staff, high level of care and “can do” attitude of everyone we have interacted with has made the transition to assisted living a positive experience. We highly recommend Ocean Hills Senior Living.
I love OHSL!! The staff takes great care of my 92 year old dad. He now calls it “home”. The med techs are responsive. The activity director Anisa is the best!!

I am a woman in her mid-70’s who has been living at OHSL for a year now, initially to recover after the untimely death of my husband. I have been very happy here, with the facility, its location, and my lifestyle. It is a beautiful new building completed 18 months ago, with lots of light, attractive grounds and tasteful furnishings.The staff are, without exception, pleasant, friendly and caring. The food is excellent and varied, with many daily options, including wine and ice cream. There is also medical support for any residents who require mobility or medication assistance.
My stay was intended to be short, but I found it easy to settle in, and am reluctant to return to my large and lonely house, especially since the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic in February and it’s associated restrictions. By following appropriate guidelines, none of our residents have contracted the virus so far, and the staff continue to work hard to maintain activities and events for us all, until our lives can normalize.
I am happy to recommend anyone interested in coming to OHSL, to take a visit.
If I had to choose a place to take someone I love to take care of, I would take it here, it is clean, the friendly people and the excellent food, I have worked privately with some clients, some are gone and others are still there and I see the atmosphere how they treat them with respect and love
What a beautiful community. It was like a luxury apartment community with lots of amenities and designed not just for Seniors but for their families and grandchildren in mind. Large outdoor space for barbecues and family events, sports bar, even an ice cream parlor. Met some residents who all seemed very proud that this was their home. Lots of smiling faces!
Ocean Hills Senior Living was very good, brand new, and the grounds were very well kept. It had a very open courtyard area with benches, fountain, and barbecue. The residents seemed very happy and engaged, and it almost felt like a resort. The staff was very friendly and professional. They had a set menu with lots of food options and chef specials. It’s the most flexible and most interesting from a menu perspective of all the ones I saw. This is where I would want to be if I was going to retire. They had a nice gym facility, a movie theater, a nice parlor, a bar area, happy hour and karaoke, and everybody was having fun. The residents seemed a little bit younger than a lot of the facilities. The place looked fantastic.
My husband and I felt so at home the first time we walked into Ocean Hills Independent Living. Maria took us on a detailed tour. We met a few of the residents and had a lovely conversation. Another day Maria showed us the Assisted Living and Memory Care buildings. As we age and may need more assistance, we appreciate knowing these care facilities are wonderful places as well. Long story short, we are preparing to put our house on the market and we move into a 2-bedroom apartment at Ocean Hills. Thank you for introducing this facility to me.
